15 - Taste in Music

"Liked genre of Music?"

My taste in music, huh? well it's a hard question for me, why? I have no specific genre to like in music, but I love music very much you'll see my playlists are very random like Japanese songs, with 90's metal, Rap, or pretty much dub step.

Usually I like music with a lot of sudden sounds, and electric guitar solos. My kind of music makes me imagine a certain scene depending on what music I listen to.

For example, If it's Metal or Rock, I imagine war, battle, and conquer. while instrumentals, and classics it's usually a peaceful daily life.

It might sound weird coming from me, music gives me inspiration and motivation to do progressive things. While I'm having a hard time trying to expressing things, when I'm listening to music I feel every much free that I sometimes sing along so hard I don't know I'm so loud, yeah pretty much embarrassing.

Basically my music is very random and weird, but it gives me some motivation and inspiration.

Though in my life I have never realized that random sounds can give me so much life.

14 - Hobbies for Relaxation

“Having Hobbies nowadays”

Hobbies to me are optional but an important thing to do for me, I know it’s a little confusing. Think of it as break from work or studies, a breather to be exact. Why breather?Well you get tired from doing a lot of things so in the end you breathe to keep yourself fine.

Usually hobbies sports, video games, writing, or etc. It’s basically anything that can help you relax. My hobbies include Building Gunpla and Reading manga. Playing video games is actually a lifestyle so skipping that. You can say that they are a waste of time or sure having those kind of hobbies are expensive, but to me it’s what keeps me composed at relaxed.

Building Gunpla makes me motivated to see my own work in the end if I did it nice or not. Having to see your work shine in the end makes me very motivated to do more.

I don’t usually read, but when it’s manga we are talking then it’s a lot more different. I love to read comics or manga that suits my taste. Certainly I’m not immersed in reading, but if I liked one series of Manga. I would definitely buy a hard copy of it, or read for 3 days straight (with sleep and food of course)

Hobbies in short are a great way to keep your mind and body from overloading, if you don’t have a hobby find one. It doesn’t always have hobbies that involves a lot of money, you just need to find the right hobby to relax your mind properly.

13 - Becoming to curious about the world

"Curiosity on People today"

People today are known for discovering many things, because of their curiosity. Curiosity is a way for us people to learn new things or adapt. It is because of being curious it made us modern right now. If humans back didn't become curious who knows what could we have been today?

Sometimes being curious can be good and bad. Like smoking and taking drugs is a bad way of curiosity, but knowing news from all over the world or researching about some news today is a good example. It depends on how we use our curiosity, but really curiosity just happens or just works at quickest time possible. So it is inevitable to become curious about something, especially if something is related to you, your friends, family, etc. you won't even hesitate to become curious about it. Some can stop themselves, but a lot of people can't really handle wanting to find the answers they want.

Today corruption, terrorism, rights, etc. are being reported in news everyday. Now we, the people who can make a difference can obviously make a difference just by being curious. If we do get curious let other people know, because the tendency is they will become curious and thus making people know more about the news today really is.
"Curiosity" the Rover sent to Mars to lean more about the planet.

12 - Certain Taste in Games

"Kinds of Games you play"

The games I play are well, unique. Like all of the humans all over the world, we have our likes and dislikes in everything. We have the freedom to choose whatever to like or dislike.

The games I like to play are Real-Time Strategy, Fiction, Historical, Sci-Fi, First Person shooter, or Third person shooter games. These games interests me, because of what I've learned in my past years. For example Assassin's Creed 3, tells us about the American Revolution. It's historical places, person, documents, etc. It makes me curious and surprised of what happened in it's game, and sometimes it makes us feel that we are there experiencing the history of that certain country. In short, I want to learn and experience the history I have learned or yet to be learned.

I sometimes play musical games, or MOBA (Massive Online Battle Arena), in those games I feel like I want to be competitive. Just like in School Idol Festival, I don't only play because I watched the anime of it or like very much. I played it, because I want to better at it and be competitive with it. I have the will to compete knowing that I will sometimes lose, but in those loses I become better on it. And the better I play the better the chance that I can win.

I play these games, because it is my passion and my forte. I become more immersed in games like these, and no I don't like these games. I love it.

11 - Living the Life

“Describe your concept of luxury.”

If it’s my luxury we are going to talk about then it’s probably...

I’d be living in a condominium in either Japan or Singapore that is in a tower with swimming pools, in a pure white rooms. With rooms like a work space, office, and anime collection room. Lots of Figures and Model Kits from Japan that is stored in cabinets in a room.

The furniture would be simple that it complements to the rooms appearance. The furniture will be complete in dining rooms, bedroom, living room, etc. Of course my PC with very high specs so I can play whatever I want, with 3 monitors for multitasking. A complete of tools for my hobby of Gunpla building would be really cool and eventually make join Gunpla building competitions.

And for my family I want them to living in a huge villa somewhere in Batangas near the Taal Lake, the lake brings us so much memories of happy times. With a ton of cars and a boat to sail to the lake Taal.

But my concept of luxury isn’t just all stuff, some are my achievements and careers. For example being a successful game developer or a champion in a Gunpla building competition. Luxury isn’t given to, it’s earned by working very hard in a job. Especially being given an inspiration to strive to have the luxury you want. It’s not all for yourself actually, the luxury. It’s meant for your family that helped become who you are they are the reason you had to strive for your luxury. So be thankful to them

10 - Life Matters... a lot

“Smoking in APC”

Smoking, it really gives us nothing. Yeah sure they take our money, and health. Surely Smoking can be addictive once you started to do it. A lot of people already had problems with it and the worst part is they can’t stop even knowing they are going to die early.
Can’t they think of an alternative like chewing gum? Chewing gum can actually help us with processing minds. But smoking never helps us, it just kills and ruins lives.

To teenagers smoking looks ‘cool’ and it make teenagers look mature. It is not make a person’s appearance more appealing, it actually makes them look like they are forcing themselves to be appealing when they are not.

Or people smoke because they want to escape their problems. Well it doesn’t help them, but it makes them worse. To fix their proble
ms they must face it head-on to fix it.

The risks of smoking are too much to handle, so if u start smoking you will probably end up with lots of problems in the future too. We really can’t stop smoking here in APC. Because it’s mainly their choice. The only way is to prevent others that does not smoke. They need to realize that smoking is the way to fix your problems or become ‘cool’. Those that were prevented might change the ones who smoke to stop smoking and start caring about your own life and of other’s lives too.

With this method we can assure that it reduce the smoking, and in that we can actually save lives with it.
The lives of humans matters not in you but in others as well. God gave us the power to think and life. So let us cherish his gifts by caring our as a healthy person.

9 - Heroism in Modern Age

"Bayani ba to? Heroism for Millennials"

I've been enlightened with the speaker’s view of heroes as a normal beings with normal hobbies and lives like us today. And as a teenager in this generation I am intrigued with what I can do to help this country. Hero's then really wanted to help the country to be free, they studied in different countries, and they became very intellectual beings.

Even though what they were talking about is to guilt trip us and cliché words, they made good points about heroism today. You never really needed to be special to be a hero you just need to be yourself and have a goal to help our country

The most notifiable figure is General Luna, he was an ordinary man then with a passion to free the Filipinos but ended up getting killed by his own countrymen the Filipinos. He was a Doctor and a Scientist that studied abroad in popular universities. But even with all that achievement overseas he still came back to the Philippines and backed up Philippines as its best general in Philippine history.

The story about Heroes are sometimes very ironic too, because of their ideals for their people. The ideals of the heroes are sometimes disliked by the masses that they think that it’ll ruin them. This leads to the death of many heroes of our past.

I’ll admit it that peaceful ways can definitely help us to avert violence for more peace for the country, but when they start killing innocent people don’t even hesitate to gather our armies and take our vengeance against them.

To conclude this speech, sometimes it’s necessary for lives to be taken if it’s for the greater good and even though it may be cruel, you cannot save lives if can’t take others live. And finally you cannot be a hero if you can’t even save yourself.

Heroism today is very rare for some people, but we can actually be a hero in our little way. As I watched the trailer, preview, and the speech regarding the meaning of heroism today and back then.

8 - Failure in a Promised Week

"SoCSIT Week Activities"

My experience with the SoCSIT week was not very promising to me, because with a lot technical difficulties and conflicting of schedules. And a lot of the activities we're really a turn down for many.
Of course the freedom they promised to us we're obviously a lie too. They planned out the events really quickly but unorganized.  The Organizations where had the events planned out but they lacked the time to complete it. Instead of going to the events I skipped them because there was a lot of homework and projects needed to be completed. And some of the events I attended a lot of people in my class skipped it, so our block really looked like lazy and unmotivated people to join the events.

At the SoCSIT night half of the whole place where only filled, because a lot of students too are living very far from APC. So they need to commute early and if they don't leave early they will faced a lot of heavy traffic and a lot of time wasted outside than doing your homework and projects.

The LoL Tournaments and Mortal Kombat tour were failures obviously, the time slots are very poorly placed. The teams that actually tried to join tried very hardly trying to prove that they are great but their hard work went to the trash bins because they a lot of technical difficulties with the tournament. So it was really a waste of time if you actually wanted and is competing in the tournaments.

We were only 8 that day (the other one is hiding at the back)
The Opening was a really embarrassing for our block, because a lot of my blockmates were absent. While the other blocks has full attendance. And our performance with the banner was really unprofessional because we just made the banner 2 hours before the actual opening happened. And lastly one of our blockmate present even embarrassed us more by not giving the banner and explaining it.

The SoCSIT week really has been a fail for me, because of the technical errors and conflict in schedules. Lack of preparation for the organizers of the events. A lot of students were mostly absent thinking they have free from attendances. But the Fame or Shame was successful and stressful in a way but it was worth to go to.

7 - What I want to be

“When I’m older…”

I want to be a great mature guy that does a lot of things, I have a ton of work but it’s worth it. I want to be surrounded by family and friends. And at the same time I would still be a nerd that likes a ton anime, comics, and games. It would also be cool to have my own Collection of figures of my favorite character such as Darth Vader, Akainu Sakazuki, and many more.

Being a role model for a lot of people and still have my own personality but more improved that when I was in Highschool and College years. And be the guy that can finally understand math, and his friends very much. Become a dude that can finally socialize easily with others and still makes friends around him.

And hopefully becomes a successful developer that visited many places and met many popular people. Being able to accept the end of things and become happy when your loved ones are gone, even though they are gone they are here with us cheering us on to become even greater.

6 - Room for improvement

“Define Sloppy”
Sloppy is described as not complete, not satisfied with, or needs improvement. Just hearing the sloppy can hurt a lot of people when used on commenting on a work you did. Because some people think that it is not satisfying. Sloppiness can be the reason for many things in this world. And there are a ton of people who are sloppy.
But just because you are sloppy or your work is sloppy doesn’t mean it is a failure. It means you can improve it with a bit of effort. I k now the pain of being said of sloppy but bear with it you can improve farther on and impress. But being called sloppy is actually better than called actual Failure, right?
Sometime criticism can make us better if we don’t absorb those critics too much. It’s really provoking of some critics but you have to understand the errors and improve.
Some people really need the word sloppy to actually make them improve because the errors are too much and one who is being sloppy doesn’t want to improve, if they could criticize it they could change and become better at it.
Mistakes are part of us humans whoever we are we still make mistakes, but practicing to be perfect can avoid errors. In reality no one is perfect but we practice to be close to being perfect.

5 - Emotion of Smile

“I was happiest when...”

Happiness is an emotion where we just have a good time with some people we love hanging out with, but for me it’s my mask to hide my despair to avoid too much drama in my life. Whenever I am happy I am always surrounded by the things I like. In Conventions, Family Reunions, or just hanging out with friends. Happiness is really all that I have to hide my past life behind me, there were too many mistakes that I have made. But with being with those who I love will be the uprising of me once again.
From watching shows to listening to music can bring me happiness, it just really makes it comfortable. My happiness is made up of so many things but the number 1 cause of my happiness is when I was born in this world as a human being that can feel real emotions. Emotions is really a strange thing for us humans, but it is also what makes us humans.
Like that one popular quote that states “Life is full of ups and downs” it is truly like that. For me making me happier can heal my sadness faster, because with it I forget the sadness before me and just look at happy future ahead of me just waiting for me.

I believe that anyone deserves to be happy no matter who, and where you came from. When saddened happiness is not stolen or taken away. It is just out of our sight so we must find it to become happy again. I like it when people are happy it makes me happy within too, the smiles of the children and elders can soothe my soul knowing that the area around is full of harmony and peace.

4 - Fakes and Faith

“People who attend church”

Churches, are meant to the house of God and we the followers or sons and daughters of God must visit his home and offer him our gratitude and love for him as our Savior and Creator.

Now people that are showing love for God is very good example but some are very wrong, firstly that I’ve noticed on the social medias that people are spamming that they’ll go to church or they attend bible studies, what I really want to say is that people say things like those because they want other to admire like being so “faithful”. Just because you go to church every Sunday and pray doesn’t mean you are “actually” faithful, for me being faithful is not expressed not only by action but it in spirituality and values. In churches people actually go but they are only there for show but actual church goers listens and absorb the teachings that God has given us.
I’m not trying offensive here but I really hate showy people especially when they are relating themselves to God, or maybe yet making excuses out of God is really is absurd and unforgivable. Because after what God has given you, you only use it for your own entertainment. God is not a social media tool people, He’s called God for something. I saw spams on my Facebook that started out big 5 years ago and now still going, It’s something about liking or sharing his or her posts about God but if they don’t like or share it will automatically say you are a follower of Satan. Now that’s some idiocy over there I don’t what people are getting from posting those kind of posts but it’s pissing me off. Well firstly you don’t use God to get people to notice you, because come on people like those only are bored. Not because you didn’t like it or share it doesn’t mean you hate God, People love for God is through praying and showing goodness to others not some obvious scam on social Medias.

Commitment is the Key
Going back People who attend church are not all that dedicated to God, some doesn’t go to Church but they are a faithful within. What do you think is better People going to church because they want some changes and miracles for their own or people going to church because they want God to support them and in everything they do? The answer depends on you really but I prefer wanting support because just expecting some changes and miracles don’t do anything at all so I must act to do actually something now I just ask God to help or support me. But really though it doesn’t mean that not going to church makes you unfaithful, what makes someone faithful is depending how they do it on their own thing.

3 - As Time Passes

“History or Math”

Since the dawn of time these two have been important since our creation, History is to remember a famous or infamous events in human’s timeline while Math is there to help us understand our work and makes us more intelligent.

But for me it is History because it can remind us the glory of our discoveries and inventions, in the same time it can makes us realize our mistakes in the past. History can be seen as a motivation for us because of our achievements and taking a look back of how much progress we have made. It inspires us to innovate or advance much further. But in the tragic events we can remember the faults we made and the people lives lost, that makes us very wanting to prevent it from happening again. From those past events we can all recall it for something very interesting or very sad. But really history though is an important thing to do. But sometimes history can be very cruel like the wars and the truth. It is inevitable for those to happen but somehow we can prevent it from happening again. Like for example the United Nations helped the countries cooperate with each other and with it countries can have a very stable relationship to prevent each other to drift into peaceful solutions than resorting into violence. Now History in schools for me is very easy actually, learning historical people’s name and what they are known for actually interests me. That is the reason I sometimes ace my History exams, the thrill of learning the history of a certain country. And for me History makes me very me fond of other countries that the people today despise. Not only history can world-wide it can be within yourself too like family reunions and friends hanging out it can remind us how happy we are then.

History is really a wonderful thing with it we can achieve knowledge and lessons from the past. Everything has a history when ether it’s dead or living it has gone through time and time will tell. As time passes by we will someday realize that we ourselves are making history to ourselves or something greater so it’s best to keep reminded by how history works.

2 - Who is John Dale Ocampo?

John Dale Ocampo is not your ordinary kind of guy, he maybe is 5’11 flat but he does not play any kind of sport in fact he sucks at any sports he tries. He is the completely opposite person you think of him at first sight.

He has all sorts of interests but the most eye-catching interests he has is Anime, Star wars, Gunpla, and play games in general. He is not a mainstream person on his interests but sometimes he takes his interests too seriously. Not like others he doesn’t like comparing anything, whether it’s good or bad he will not give it because he believes that it doesn’t really matter if you’re bad or good as long you are good to him. He likes to sleep a lot because it’s either he is bored or very tired. And of course listening to music is normal to him now, you’ll see him sleeping with earphones on or even going to school.
He doesn’t have a particular taste in one genre he listens to the music he likes. At judging everything he is the worst of it, at first he hates it then loves it then hates it again. Sometimes he will act independent because of his needs, or likely he is just very shy. His family and friends is his pride, he tends to be very shy around strangers but when he gets used to them he will open up bit by bit.

While his family whom he loves very much likes to tease him by being an airhead and its true actually, being an airhead and being teased at. His studies are all average but he needs to change his habit of being lazy to actually pass.
While at Video Games he likes to play Real Time Strategy like Starcraft, he likes it because being to command an army can be exciting for him. He likes to play RPGs with good stories like Dragon Age and Mass Effect, it interests him because even if they have very complicated stories you can make your own path you want either good or bad it his call. He believes that the PC changed his personality and affected his eyesight, like for being addictive like tending to spend more time in PC than sleeping. His Physical condition is completely healthy. Even though he is skinny he likes to eat not many just right, the reason for being skinny is maybe he has a fast metabolism as he was told he doesn’t really know. But his height tend to guess his character immediately as a good basketball player but he really isn’t, he doesn’t even know how to dribble properly or the rules in basketball. But if they are talking about Anime or Games he will immediately relate to these things. He really isn’t that much but he hopes to be better in the near future.

very deep

1 - My early days at Batangas.

"Describe a place from your past"

A place from my past is Bagbag, Balete, Batangas is where I grew up in the past years. There is where my childhood developed. Here's a photo of it. It's a place of lush green and we are near the Lake of Taal, there are many farms and plantations there. Even though it's a really annoying with the dirt in the shoes and leaves on my clothes, the fresh air really is satisfying despite all of that. The fresh air there really brings out Mother Nature’s scent. It reminds me of how important it is to have a forest surround me. My childhood there was really good there I learned many things like riding a bike and learning how to play a bit of sports. In this place is where I grew up with my sister, little brother, and grandparents.
While was growing up I moved to Manila, at first I was really surprised that there are less trees there so I kind of adapted to the environment in a city, but I still want to feel the pure fresh air from a place full of life like in my hometown. So every summer or Weekends I go to Batangas to feel the breeze of the wind and natural environment around it actually relaxes my mind. And sometimes me and my cousins go to the lake to go fishing or just view the scenery. The Lake of Taal in my place is left untouched by tourists and resorts that’s why it’s so peaceful there. When I was 10 years old my sister and my grandfather took me to the river, and in that river it contained many life like fishes, frogs, etc. We went along the river to the lake. It was really fun that I got to look at the river flowing in one direction towards the lake but it was tiring.
Every May 30th to 31st we have a huge gathering from all over the Barangay, it was a huge fiesta that is held yearly. It’s a time where people gather and just get along with everyone with tons of food and drinks. Before the Fiesta our relatives would visit our house and help with the cooking, and arranging of the stuff needed for the Fiesta. It’s not a formal occasion really it’s an informal occasion that random people can join in like a huge party. Sometimes the Mayors of certain cities or towns comes in to celebrate with us.
My home town is really important to me because it taught me many things like to value everything you have, your family, friends, nature, and God. Without living in Batangas I wouldn’t be the person I am today.
