8 - Failure in a Promised Week

"SoCSIT Week Activities"

My experience with the SoCSIT week was not very promising to me, because with a lot technical difficulties and conflicting of schedules. And a lot of the activities we're really a turn down for many.
Of course the freedom they promised to us we're obviously a lie too. They planned out the events really quickly but unorganized.  The Organizations where had the events planned out but they lacked the time to complete it. Instead of going to the events I skipped them because there was a lot of homework and projects needed to be completed. And some of the events I attended a lot of people in my class skipped it, so our block really looked like lazy and unmotivated people to join the events.

At the SoCSIT night half of the whole place where only filled, because a lot of students too are living very far from APC. So they need to commute early and if they don't leave early they will faced a lot of heavy traffic and a lot of time wasted outside than doing your homework and projects.

The LoL Tournaments and Mortal Kombat tour were failures obviously, the time slots are very poorly placed. The teams that actually tried to join tried very hardly trying to prove that they are great but their hard work went to the trash bins because they a lot of technical difficulties with the tournament. So it was really a waste of time if you actually wanted and is competing in the tournaments.

We were only 8 that day (the other one is hiding at the back)
The Opening was a really embarrassing for our block, because a lot of my blockmates were absent. While the other blocks has full attendance. And our performance with the banner was really unprofessional because we just made the banner 2 hours before the actual opening happened. And lastly one of our blockmate present even embarrassed us more by not giving the banner and explaining it.

The SoCSIT week really has been a fail for me, because of the technical errors and conflict in schedules. Lack of preparation for the organizers of the events. A lot of students were mostly absent thinking they have free from attendances. But the Fame or Shame was successful and stressful in a way but it was worth to go to.
